Polesworth Abbey
Production of film charting the history of the medieval gatehouse from medieval times to present day.

Dig the Abbey – a community archaeological dig which took place over four summer from 2011 and uncovered the formation of the now lost Polesworth Abbey. I created two films per week to record and publicise the dig, along with photography of the dig and finds.
Created a 12 page A4 booklet about the dig which was given out to houses in the Polesworth area.

Alrewas Arts Festival – Alrewas Archives
I worked with the festival committee to develop the Alrewas Archives, which is a digital archive covering the village from the 1930s to the end of the 1990s.
I assisted with the development of two successful HLF bids and the project ran from 2011 to 2016.
In addition to developing the archive I made two oral history films and two books which were given free of charge to each house in the village.

I helped the history department to put together a successful HLF ‘Young Roots’ bid to develop a digital archive in Barton under Needwood. I worked with students from the school to set up the archive and create a book and film for the local community.

The school was due for closure and as the only Catholic High School in Shropshire it was felt that its heritage need to be collected and preserved. I helped them to secure a HLF ‘Young Roots’ grant and collected oral histories for a film and a book, which were given to former staff and pupils.

This school was formerly known as Manor High School which was due to close. I helped them to secure a HLF ‘Young Roots’ grant and worked with students to create a book comprised of photographs, documents and memories collected as part of the project. We also made an oral history film. Both were given free of charge to former staff and pupils.

Belgrave is an area of Tamworth about which very little has been formerly collected. I helped the school to secure a HLF ‘Young Roots’ grant to collect artefacts about the area. These were put together as a book and film which were given to local schools and residents.

Grantham Canal is a 35 stretch of waterway which has been out of commission since the 1930s although most of it is still in water.
